1.3 Need to evaluate own effectiveness in building relationships with children! Dont know where to start!! Anyone have any pointers. Would be greatly appreciated

I've just done that one. talked about the feed back the children give me as that's the best way of knowing you've been effective.

Thanks for that. I ended up writing about a child who hardly spoke to anyone & the probs she was having & how my interaction with her & parents helped to overcome some of the problems.

Sometimes its so hard getting started & knowing your on the right track!!

Hi Donnas, think about the way you talk to children, your body language, your expectations of them. how do they interact with you - do they enjoy working with you? ask yourself why what are you doing to make them enjoy your time and company? what do you to help them learn and develop - how do you know you are being effective - do they give you feedback? thats the relationship you have built with them.
