Mobile technology and security ?

Does anyone have a policy & or procedure that helps minimise damage of data loss / mis use when using mobile technology to share and transfer information .. sensitive and otherwise ?

How do you ensure information reaches the desired destination and recipient and have you found alternative methods of sharing information safely ?
