I Am Not A Happy Bunny

I have been answering the knowledge questions and including the p.c requirements by writing reflective accounts within them. This saves writing same thing twice and find it easier. Tutor has been fine with this but our files have been taken to be checked by the verifier and guess what you cant answer pc in the knowledge questions!!!!!!!!!!!! I have to finish this by feb and I guess now none of my units are compleat!

Hi Carianne,
I'm an assessor and in the centre i work for it is perfectly fine to reference the pc's to your written work as long as the criterias are covered? You may want to double check this?

My assessor was happy for me to do it too and it made sense. It was the iv who looked at our files who had a problem with it! Oh ye and they want every element of the pc to have witness statement

Do u mean every pc to have a witness statement or every element to be covered with a witness statement? Again that's not what we require in our centre but i guess all centres and awarding bodies ask for different things. How frustrating though especially since you are due to complete soon! Hope you manage to sort something out.
PS at the centre i work for it is also appropriate for the assessor to ask the candidate oral questions to cover any gaps in pc's so maybe this could be an option for you to save you having to do any extra work?!
Good luck! :-)

every element to be coverd with a witness statement (i think thats right I was havin a nervous breakdown by that point!) I dont understand how all these centres run differently for the same qualification! Its like i see on here that some people are given essays to write that cover multiple questions I asked my tutor and she said no you cant do that on a level 4. Personnaly I think City & Guilds need to sort it out and run all the centres the same. Thats my little rant over! thanks

It says that VERY clearly in the front of your cache handbook. i dont know why colleges think they can get away with it.

you should have one as it is the book that your units are in. page 13 says

Can I start straight away answering all the knowledge
statements?
The first thing to understand, is that the knowledge statements are not questions
to be answered! A number of these statements start with the words 'how to'. Many of
these can be met through your assessor observing you and other questions that your
assessor asks you after an observation, will probably meet others too.
