tell your audiance to think of their most embarrising moment then tell them look at the person next to you then say if i asked you to tell them how would you feel? then go on to ask who wouldnt want to say and who thought of their most embarising moment then thought of something else instead? (get them to raise their hands or whatever), now tell them they are adults and talk about a child being much younger finally conclude that for a child to tell someone about abuse is hard for them and so the listener needs to be patient and not badger the child for more info...

signs of abuse
types of abuse
procedure
updates on things such as the fact theres no child protection regester anymore
whistleblowing
illnesses that can be mistaken for abuse-there are some children who bruise very very easily and have a disorder...
how to teach kids to protect themselfs-teaching about their bodies which bits are private etc, saying no to strangers
give statistics (use nspcc) website etc
give examples of different situations and get the ppl to move to one side of the room if they think its abuse and to the other if they dont think its abuse or middle for unsure
for example :" a teenage girl lays naked while her father gives her a full body massage which has been tradition in their family and something that has happened since she was little"

"an ill child is left alone at home on the sofa while mom takes the sibling to school" are these abuse? etc

hope this helps
