I've not done this unit but I would say it relates to your settings sickness policy. Most places have one which will tell parents when they can and can't bring a child who is ill. For example a child with sickness bug must be excluded for 48 hours after they were last sick. The department of health have guidelines on which illness a child should be kept at home from school or childcare setting. You could check out their website or nhs direct. There are also certain illness' that you have to notify the department of health if any children in your care get. It is important to have this policy and follow it because if you don't you're putting children's health at risk by exposing them to illness unnecessarily. Hope this helps!?
