Lightbulb Building blocks ?

Apart from the usual stack and build games what other activities have you used wooden or plastic blocks for ?

well......

Ive used them for sorting activities, colour shape and size.

Ive used them to investigate which shape/size rolls faster down a ramp

Ive used them as a non standard measure

Ive used them as musical instruments (yes we did just bang them together and makes lots of noise)

and

Ive used them as dolls house furniture!! lol we had an old set and used them to make things for the dolls house by sticking stickers on which the children had written or drawn on e.g. a tv

there are lots you can do with blocks! :o)

Ooooo I just thought.... if you had a plastic AND a wooden set you could use them to investigate floating and sinking! If they are the same size shape and colour why does one float and the other sink??
