Default How long did it take you to complete?

Hi,

I am in a very frustrating position that the pre-school where I work is losing a member of staff and they would love to give me the full time position but as I haven't qualified yet I can't apply (got to love Ofsted for that one)
Just wondered how long it took people to do the level 3, I started in mid feb and am hoping to complete by the new year but fitting it in around 4 jobs and kids is nigh on impossible.
It looks like I will miss the opportunity by a few months which is very frustrating.

Thanks

Hi

it has taken me a year to complete very slow start but just decided in the end to complete units at my own pace and then i just seemed to finish unit after unit.

why can't you i have know people to work as thay achieve their qualification, surely they would take you on, on the understanding that you gain your level 3 soon

Lynne

We currently have low numbers of children so we only need 2 full time members of staff, we will only have one qualified level 3 shortly so the other member of staff needs to be at least level 2 ideally level 3 in case of sickness absence. I can be used in case of emergency and when other staff are off training but not on a regular basis.

LOL don't worry I know I took a big step going straight in at level 3.
Even though I know they are desperate for me to get qualified I am not going to put myself under pressure and rush through things, I would rather gain my knowledge and be a better practitioner for it.

Hi,
I started last September and hope to finish this month, it's not been easy, another member of staff started the course with me at the same time and she finished in August and has been signed off. The course has been very time consuming and I've had hindrance from home life, doing extra sessions because our manager has been off ill and of course there's all the paperwork to do at work, apparently I've got until Xmas this year to complete the course.

Marigold.
