Help SOS Explain the importance of promoting the rights of all children and young people to participation and equality of access

Hi all,

I wonder if anybody can help me with the below question...

Explain the importance of promoting the rights of all children and young people to participation and equality of access.

I understand the first part;Explain the importance of promoting the rights of all children and young people - that seems pretty straight forward, however its those last few words 'to participation and equality of access' which have completely thrown me off and couldn't sound any more alien to me!

If anybody could explain in English it would be much appreciated as these words have gone around in my head so much this morning that they have lost all meaning!

Thank you in advance

type in the rights of the child/young person. its all about informing them, giving them the choise and letting them know they can be involved if they wish no matter what thier age, race, disability, religion ect. and they have the right to say no. you will find more info on the web, the rights of the child. hope this helps. providing the eqiptment for them to participate ect,ect
