Help SOS new baby transition, technical certificate 008

Hi all!
Bit stuck on this last part of the technical certificate 008...

Q: Using current theories produce a plan which identifies different methods which may be used to support children and young people through the following transitions:
1)settling in a new arrival to your childcare setting
2) a new baby in their home
3)preparation for moving into a different childcare setting

I've done the first one and think I'm ok with the third one, but don't really know where to start with the second one - the new baby... any suggestions would be great??!!!

I've looked on this forum, but there don't seem to be many people mentioning this technical certificate...are we all doing something different?

Thanks for any help!
Dee x

how could you get a child prepared for and used to the new baby?

you would talk about the baby growing and the bump where the baby will sleep what it will be like when its coming etc also look at books about a new sibling with the child, and try to prepare them as much as possible. near the due date if the child is going to stay at grandmas then make sure they know they are going etc also taking the child to get a gift for and see the new baby is a good idea, a small gift from the baby to the child also helps the child feel happier. telling the child about babies care routienes making sure you give the child some attention allowing the child to help with the baby, looking at the childs old photos etc encouraging the child to take an interest in the baby making everything very posative, expecting the child to digress a little and to show unwanted behaviour...

sorry just a quick answer hope this gives some ideas
