Sorry forgot to add this question as well how and why you would provide a safe environment that encourages children to develop physical skills and confidence in movement
i have put making sure that there is enough space for children to move around without hurting themselves or other people + providing right equipment suitable to age range is this along the right track?
many thanks in advanced!!

Yes absolutely the right track!

Focus on the confidence bit as well... children need space to move around without tripping over furniture or others.

If they are constantly bumping, falling etc they will not develop the confidence they need to move around freely.
