Help SOS Code of Conduct for parent helpers

Hi

I am reluctantly putting a parent rota in place and I have soo many concerns about it. Mostly confidentiality issues, but also inappropriate behaviour :(

I think we really need to put in place a code of conduct that we can refer to if required.

Does any one have such a thing in place? Has any one else found that they need one ?

Hiya, and hugs lol

Asking anyone on the rota to sign a declaration of confidentiality should help you open up the conversation. Explain that everything that happens in your setting needs to stay in there and that if there are any questions, concerns or ideas for feedback your door is open & ofsted's number is displayed on the declaration - search the internet for more ideas Confidentiality declaration

It may mean development records and other sensitive information needs to be secured & accessible in a place of privacy only to those with permission, and depending how far you want to take it a 'welcome to our rota pack may be good to ensure you have the opportunity to let everyone know expectations, timetables, drills, complaints, duties ...

Parental involvement policy

Are you planning a rota induction day to show everyone around, what's done where and how etc ?

for this xx let us know how it goes
