Default Planning activities for different age groups and areas of development?

Hi there ,

The question asks to support the development of children from birth to 5yrs. Plan 2 opportunities for the relevant age group and each opportunity must support a different age range in each area of development .

Could someone please explain does it mean 2 activities as such for all 4 development areas for different age groups or something else.....

Hi, the relevant age group will be either the age of the children you work with eg 3-4 year olds? or an age group that's been set by your tutor.

One activity can cover different areas of development for example a fruit salad activity involves physical development (holding knives, cutting, hand-eye coordination), knowledge of the world (where fruits come from) personal, social and emotional development as children identify the colours (EYFS art & design development) name the fruit and talk about their experiences of fruit (language development) take turns and share.

Which areas of development are you planning for?
