Hi,
You've listed so many - but if they are the benefits, then the drawbacks will be the opposite and try and think how the opposite might come about.
Some of the drawbacks could be that, say
No 7 - Does someone know how to record/observe or feel confident enough to?
Or you could look at it that someone may be able to churn out the answers in an exam - but they may not be any nearer to understanding children.
Answer: Training or coaching by experienced member of staff in setting.
what about
no 8 - what if a person had worked in that environment for years and never reflected and things that may have been acceptable years ago, are no longer permitted today?
Such as child protection. I know 30 odd years ago people used to send their 'Aunty' to collect a child - would this happen today?
or that loose wires were overlooked then, but we are so much more aware now.
Answer: Regular review of policies and procedures
N0 3 Control of work circumstances and relieves stress - this depends on you work conditions, whether you feel valued or not etc . Drawbacks are who you work for and what is expected from someone and also recruiting the right person. With the wrong person - lots could go wrong.
Answer: Proper CRB checks on candidates and willingness to ongoing training,
I hope this has helped you get started.
