Default Regional Networking Groups

Are you interested in the work of play specialists or hope to train as a play specialist in the future?

Are you already a qualified play specialist who maybe no long works in the profession?

These group meetings are also really useful for Play Workers, Play Leaders, Play Assistants and Nursery Nurses that provide play within hospitals, children's hospices, children's respite units and in children's own homes as part of community healthcare teams.

There are many Regional Networking Groups across the UK for Play Specialists and those interested in the profession. They meet roughly 3 to 5 times a year and if you are invloved in the group you have no obligation to attend some or all of the meetings.

These Networking Groups are a great way of keeping up to date with the profession, particularly is you are the only play specialist where you work, work part time or having a career break from the profession to have a baby or because of lack of work in your area. There have been lots of positive developments in the play specialist profession in the last few years, it is always good to keep up to date

If you know a play specialist who you think could be interested in these groups please pass on this information.

Please do get in touch if you are interested in attending a Play Specialist Networking Group or would like to know more about what happens at these group meetings.

Hattyhar do you know if there's a page of events, dates & contact details on any of the Hospital Playwork websites that people could take the information from ?

Hi Ruthierhyme

Sorry for my slow reply this message, unfortunately I've been quite unwell, but much better now.

If anyone would like more information on regional networking groups for play staff working in hospitals, children's hospices and in community healthcare, you can visit the National Association of Hospital Play Staff (NAHPS) website www.nahps.org.uk on the website page Regional Networking Groups.

All the contact details of people running the various Regional Networking Groups are listed on this website page, together with information about what happens at these group meetings.

Ruthierhyme, I know you are fairly interested in this area, I'm sure if you contacted one of peope listed on the website who orgainises the group meetings nearest to you, you could maybe attend one of the meetings.

Hope this is helpful
