Do whatever you do in your setting, so work along side your room leader when they do planning and observing. learn the 6 areas of development:
Familiarise yourself with the EYFS handbook and you will see it is divided up into the 6 areas and age phases. You will probably find your setting does something like pick a 'development matters' from the handbook and plan an activity to find out if the children can do it. Eg. do they know their shapes and colours? Do a compare bears activity and write down if they know them or not. If not, then they need more input on this. Find out in your setting what your colleagues do as there is more than 1 way. Hope this helps - Charlotte.
