Maths Functional skills 2

Hi every body. I hope you can help because I'm desperate.
I'm taking my NVQ3 and my provider says that I have to take Maths Functional Skills2.

I'm from Italy and I have the Naric translation of my qualification that says that is equivalent at a Btec Level 3..

Do I need still to take the Math exam?

1+1 makes 2 in all the world I really don't understand.

Please help me
