Default CYP 3.6 Experienced Multi Agency working?

Write a Reflection of an occasion when you have had experience of multi agency working. Explain the reason and the benefits to it. What were the positive outcomes for the child? Be prepared to demonstrate to your assessor how the records etc are kept.

Help - I have only been childminding two years and have not as yet experienced multi agency working?

Can someone give me an example???????????

Hi, who do you have contact with?

PACEY? or local minding branch?
Local school?

Does your service differ between holiday & term times? eg. do you examine and check with a school about holidays so you can adapt the service you offer your parents? is this good, does it have a negative or positive impact?

Do you have children with any needs that require you to speak with other organisations and proffesionals, do parents ask you about their children's day with you? do you offer information about speech, language, communication? Do you know if parents use that information when speaking with their contacts - GP, health visitor, portage?

Who would you speak to if you had a corncern about a child? a parent, a contact from your LSCB, are you in touch with social services, know how to use the NSPCC or police?

Hth xx

Crikey - thats definately given me some ideas, I've not as yet cared for any children with any special needs, so never spoke to other professionals/organisations and our school are quite poor really, when I started minding I used to send the profiles for teacher comments but they came back blank (I dont think they even looked at them either).
Thank you ever so much for giving me some ideas x
