Hi
i also wrote about educating parents e.g. show them a weeks menu with the right amount of calories in, to encourage parents to look at the labels to check calorie/fat/salt etc. give leaflets/websites addresses for them to understand a healthy weight for their child's height. offer them advice if needed verbally.

It is important that young children are not made aware of any issues with their weight as this could lead them to having issues with food at a later day.

Children will be more likely to try new foods if they help prepare the meal.

If parent is worried about their child, they should them be encouraged to visit a proffessional sucha s a Dr or any connected healthy eating professional.

Hope it gives you ideas

Lynne
