Default Eyfs

Hi, just been reading about the EYFS. This is from birth to 5. how about from 6 years onwards?do we still use the EYFS? Im so sorry if this sounds silly, my head in not working at the moment, assignments are driving me up the wall. the scenario is that i've just done observation on a six year old and need to make recommendation to promote the observed child's holistic development. then link it to a current valid research which then my assessor said its the EYFS. do i still link it to this even if the child is 6 years old?sorry guys its 1AM maybe im just switched off at the moment. if anyone could explain it'll be a great help.

It is still EYFS.For links to your age group go to :-
http://www.standards.dfes.gov.uk/eyf...bles/index.htm
Click `all stages`(choose age group).
Click `All areas of learning and development`.
Then `Click to view`
This is an excellent site and gives excellent links and info to the eyfs.

Ofsted inform that there are three registrations : (0-5).(5-8) and voluntary registration for over 8s. Apparently the 5-8 is yet to be completed. The above site is excellent, but only goes up to five years.Sorry for the confusion.

After the Reception class in a primary school, children are taught according to the National Curriculum.

The National Curriculum is separated into Key Stages -
Key Stage 1 is for children aged 5-7 (Years 1 and 2),
KS2 is for children aged 7-11 (Years 3,4,5 and 6),
KS3 ages 11-14 (Years 7,8 and 9 at secondary school) and
KS4 ages 14-16 (Years 10 and 11).
