Hi, a warm welcome to the site. I can confirm there isn't yet a handbook available that specifically supports this course. Which means you'll be reliant on self-initiated research, the materials given by your course provider and the professional support offered by your workplace xx

Unit 7 Support group living in residential childcare unit details on OCR

From the National Occupation Standard -SCDHSC0323 Contribute to child care practice in group living theories include

The nature and impact of factors that may affect the health, wellbeing and development of children and young people you care for or support
Theories underpinning our understanding of child development and factors that affect it
Theories about attachment and its impact on children and young people

In practice these mean understanding;
Theories relevant to the children and young people with whom you work about loss and change - bereavement and transition
Theories relevant to the children and young people with whom you work about the effects of stress and distress

A to Z of residential childcare on NCB.org
is a list of website links

As outcomes 2, 3, 4 and 5 of this unit will be assessed in your place of work can you contact your tutor and ask when they'll be covering the teaching of the theories?

Best wishes xx
