Can anyone shed some light on this... I can't make heads or tails of this one

Your settings processes and procedures for observing, assessing and recording; when and how these link to external requirements or 'baselines' or curriculam frameworks followed in your home country.

Do you have a policy in your setting?

Mine has and it includes:

permission from parents to watch, note and photograph the children - confidentiality/ data protection.
Uses of the information (to inform planning, to provide value and support to the children, to provide a holistic developmental experience)

How does your setting observe the children (post its, tick charts, formative, summative etc etc)

How do you record the information? (Learning journeys, diaries)

How do you assess? (collation of obs, standardised tests)

What do you use the information for?
to inform (short, long and medium term) planning
to show developmental delays, changes, needs and abilities
review to see that all areas of learning are being met

How do you link these to your curriculum framework (EYFS for me!)

Thats the questions i answered in mine anyway and got it passed last month
