Help SOS Help please?

Asa is four years old. She was born with a cleft palate and intermittently loses her hearing as a result of glue ear. She often appears to be in a world of her own and has a very short attention span. She has difficulties in pronouncing sounds and words and, at nursery, her key person finds it difficult to understand what she is saying and what her needs are. This leads to Asa becoming frustrated and sometimes she throws herself on the floor in anger.

I have got 2 weeks left of level 3 and doing a bit of catch up but my mind's gone blank!

1. What effect can stereotyping have upon a child or young person’s development?

2. How might adult expectations affect a child ability to learn and develop?

3. Explain how as a Teaching assistant you may monitor Asa’s progress (CASE STUDY ABOVE)

4. What are the benefits to Asa of working with other professionals?
