Hi, a warm welcome to the site.

This will depend on the scheme or programmes of work your setting has in place - primary curriculum, eyfs?

TDA 3.7 unit - support assessment for learning on OCR.org.uk

What you might be assessing are - areas of learning, subject content, childrens development, already identified objectives/targets

What you might be looking for are times of achievement, difficulty and ease of completion, enjoyment or levels of interest and engagement

What it might affect - how you support individual children, reports/ing, record keeping, profiles, lesson planning, future target setting, moving on or next steps, knowledge of children's individual learning styles, how you manage causes for concern or who to talk to for assistance

The journeytoexcellence website from Education Scotland is good reading as is the assessment for learning guidance booklet from Uk's excellence gateway.org.uk

Hth, best wishes
