When i did a role-play area, i had to be seen interacting with the children in the role-play area, but letting them lead the play :)

Hi, that is quite a lot of activity management you've been charged with, can you ask to focus on just one for the time of your assssment, that way it'll give you time to really enjoy what's going on.

If not then maybe set the scene for the doctors surgery and then concentrate on the painting or playdough for your role play assessment - have sock puppets available for anyone wanting a character to help with their painting or dough rolling .. one hand or both hands?

Black socks with paper/foam legs glued or stitched in place could be spiders, have white, black and brown dough, white & black wool - silver thread would be excellent, scissors and green paper to make webs, more spiders and leaves to hide under. Aaaarrgghh, spider - amazon link, would be a great book to read as everyones spiders were dough and web weaving.

Or for painting white paint on blue/black paper & glitter for the sock spider to live on ..

Hope this helps, best wishes with it
xx
