Hi, welcome to the site, this handbook supports level 4. However it is dated, the legislation has since changed and some of the initiatives/policies might not be relevant any more.

You don't mention the unit number or title, so this could relate to how you undertake formative and summative assessments throughout the process of monitoring children's development. Page 99 looks at this; quote: Formative assessment means the ongoing observation and assessment you are making on the child. You have not reached a final conclusion, but instead are forming an opinion aboout the child, their strength and weakness, and planning for the next steps'

Page 148+ looks at your own personal development and how creating a plan helps to identify your own strengths and weakness in professional pactice and in your working knowledge & understanding. This might be something you do as part of an ongoing appraisal system in your setting?
