Hi, it means you'll need to differentiate between whatever it is you're doing or planning.

Definition pg 413 Lv3 Collins handbook EYMP 5

Diffentiated: varied or adjusted to suit the level of ability or understanding
Learning styles can be used to diffentiate - visual, auditory & kinesthetic
Disability and impairement require a practitioner to consider how they can differentiate activities & provision - learning & development patterns, delay, sight & hearing restrictions.
Age and stage of development ie. an activity planned for a 3 year old may change if you were to offer it to 15 year olds.

It could be as simple as making a computer swivel chair higher for one child and lower for another ie you would be diffentiating between chair heights in order for children to comfortably access the computer screen and equipment, or lesson planning for delivering subject content in schools.
