Do you have the penny tassoni book? She explains how to do this.

Its basically writing about what benefits a longitudinal study has. So for children it can be things like their development is looked at and so if they need support in any area it is noticed by you. For practitioners it is things like it benefits you learning wise, it helps you learn about the child etc

if you look in your learners log the student hand book it has excellent step by step assessment criteria which lead you through it, the cache one.
and NO penny tassoni does not explain it and it is NOTHING to do with the benefits of a study apart from one tiny criteria. speak to your tutor and read your standards.
