explain the importance of reflective practice in continuously improving *skills *practice* subject knowledge.

hi I was wondering if anyone could help me on this question.
I have written a small amount but am not sure what else to write to help my answer.

Your post was a while ago so you may have already completed this. Have you also considered the theories for reflective practice Kolb’s Learning Cycle (1984) and Gibb’s Reflective Cycle (1988)? Reflective practice helps improve skills, practice and subject knowledge as it enables you to take things through, think about things you could have done differently and change accordingly. For example, when I first started volunteering in early years and undertook an activity with a child, I did not think about their style of learning and their interests. I tried to read a story to them and they were just not interested (it was about having a new baby sibling). I was able to reflect on this and it has improved my practice as I know now how important it is to think about how a child learns and their individual interests. The child was more a tactile learner, so a story was not the best approach for them in that instance.

I have found Gibb's Reflective Cycle really helpful in my practice. Have you used any theories to support your reflective practice?
