Hi and welcome, sorry I missed this before.

If you take a look at the articles - OHCRC you'll find some relate directly to what children have a right to do and be, and others look more to the management of systems & frameworks supporting what children have a right to do & be. You may also find that as you relate the article right to your practice & the settings practice you cross reference it to other articles.

The poster - PDF format on RCMP is excellent.

These are only suggestions, once you start reading you'll find lots of ways to link a right to what you do in your setting.

Article 7 is concerned with nationality and the child's name - you could look at how you ask for a child's name during enrolement, differences of surnames & if there is a familiar name the child or family uses, one that the child prefers to use - registration time reinforces the child's right to a name as does activities involving names - this also supports Article 8 and the child's right to an identity.

Registering a birth - what contact or reference do you have with children's birth certificates or passports?
What reference is used, requested, made in regards to a child's nationality.
Does your setting provide local registrar information - opening times/office location for new parents.

IPS.gov.uk

Infant and child mortality rates were once so high children in England & Wales could go unamed until their 2nd, 3rd or fith birthday which would conflict with the now UN Convention & legal requirement to register a new babies name, their right to a name & life, parentage & place of birth within 42 days of arrival.

Article 31 is the right for play and rest and could be used to demonstate how your rooms are laid out for activity and quiet. The types of activities and resources you provide for play and rest.

Hope this helps start things for you xx
