I been asked to add to my answer ' why would this be important in a child protection situation'?

I can not think of an answer....an anyone help?

If there is a child protection issue within the child's family you still need to remain professional and keep a good relationship with the parents, children's services try to keep the child with the family as much as possible so if you allow your relationship with the parents to suffer by judging them or making your feelings aware, they may choose to send the child to another setting which will be detrimental to the child at a time when they need support from you as a familiar carer.
