I have a question Toileting in Pre-School

I work in a day nursery in the Pre-School room. We are always having parents say that their child had a dirty bottom when they got them home. Do others find they have this? If so, how do you manage checking every child all day to ensure they are clean whilst also encouraging independence and supervising all the other children?

Hi, this is something that you need to discuss as a group as a dirty bottom can be most irritating and in itself cause problems - other than concerned parents :)

Maybe focus on children's complete independence for wees and provide additional support with a damp wipe for poos?

Considerations would be the availability of gloves in the toilet area and a nappy/clinical waste bin for the wipes.

Best wishes xx
