do you mean CYP 3.7 (3.2), that's what I've got it as?

People's attitudes can have both positive and negative impacts on a child's life.
* If the adults in the child's life only focus on the problems, what's wrong, what the child can't do, they will not offer the child challenges and encouragement, leading to negative image of themselves, low self-esteem, self-worth and low confidence. Their all round development will suffer.
Family may not be getting the correct support or help from services. They may not be aware of charities and support groups that can help. The child may miss out on outings/trips, and lose out socially and emotionally.
It can lead to financial strain on families, parents work may suffer or have to stop to care for the child. Financial, emotional strain on the whole family including siblings. Can cause family breakdowns etc.
EVERYONE needs support.

With support and positive contributions children can thrive and achieve their full development relevant to their abilities. Think of all the people with Downs Syndrome that live independently, if it was for positive attitudes and giving them the opportunities then most may be in care!!!

Think about all the positive things that can contribute to fulfilling a child's development, even things like sensory stimulation etc. How things have improved over the years as the social model of disability has become more accepted. Children with SEN should have the same opportunities to experience life in ways that are appropriate for them.

Think about how negative attitudes to disability can prevent them achieving.

I hope that helps, its only tiny bits of about what I wrote. Good luck.
