Book Review BOOK LIST: Feelings and Emotions

These Preschool and toddler book titles are great for looking at feelings and emotions ..

The Way I Feel by Janan Cain - Great book that takes a single emotive title - angry / silly / happy (+ more) and through rhyme explores the implications of each one - good for seeing how emotions & feelings affect others and self !
€œFeelings come and feelings go
I never know what they€™ll be.
Silly or angry, happy or sad -
They€™re all a part of me!€

No Matter What written & illustrated by Debi Gliori
"Does love wear out?" said Small.
"Does it break or bend?
Can you fix it, stick it, does it mend?"

Today I Feel Silly and Other Moods That Make My Day By Jamie Lee Curtis & Laura Cornell
Don't Call Me Special - Pat Thomas - explore individuality
Where are you blue kangaroo - Emma Chichester Clark

Hug by Jez Alborough
Monkey Puzzle by Julia Donaldson Axel Scheffler: excellent book for belonging and placement recognition.

Preschool Books for Bereavement and Loss.
These titles haven't been chosen to necessarily read aloud as stories. They'll contain well worded information that can help children get to grips with, and begin to understand the whole concept and meaning of the feelings they & those around them may be experiencing - Please use the suggestions as reference and learning for yourself and staff or where felt appropriate as story & guidance books

Sad isn't Bad by Michaelene Mundy What on Earth Do You Do When Someone Dies? by Trevor Romain
