Default Help Help Help

Hey Every one i hope some one can help me I am stuck in my Rationale for my research project which has to be a 1000 words.

so far I have put

Involving Parents in the partnership to extend children’s learning at home

For my practice-based enquire to improve the quality in my early years setting, I selected the topic of involving parent in the partnership to extend the children learning at home.

Parenting partnership to extend children learning at home is one which needs to be improve in my setting, I only seen a need to improve after my recent Ofsted inspection. The report states “the involvement of parents in their children’s learning is still in early stage of development”. This has had a huge impact on my own thinking as I thought my parenting partnership was efficient enough, however I never gave any thought to extending children’s learning at home. This is due to my own thinking as when a child goes home at six o’clock then they have some dinner, have a bit of family time to relax and then get ready for bed. Also by talking to peers in class at university they have said by having a strong working partnership with parents would positively be a benefit for the child.

During the first year of this foundation degree course one aware about various aspects, such as, about the ethics behind any research and to protect myself, children and the provision, by not stating the setting, my details and children’s personal details. As reflected in a publication by the British Educational Research Association (BERA) (2011), it states, “researchers must also seek the collaboration and approval of those who act in guardianship or as responsible others,” for children and young people (see appendix 1) and in addition, the setting manager has also to provide their consent (see appendix 2). I have changed the names of any children so their identities cannot be identified and to ensure they cannot come to any harm.

The United Nations Convention on the rights of the child (UNCRC) (UN, 1989) aims to protect and promote children’s rights and welfare through principles, Article 12 states “1. States Parties shall assure to the child who is capable of forming his or her own views the right to express those views freely in all matters affecting the child, the views of the child being given due weight in accordance with the age and maturity of the child.” This means that children have the right to give their opinion, and for adults to listen and take it seriously.” I will give the children an opportunity to have their own opinion (see appendix 3).

You need to read the EPPE project and recent update you're justifying why its important and research, not law, tells us this. And do a grammar check!
