General question Can anyone help me with these 2 questions please!

I don't understand what these 2 questions are asking.
  1. Explain the rationale behind the safeguarding and welfare requirements
  2. Evaluate the practical implications of the safeguarding and welfare requirements within the EYFS

Any help would be greatly appreciated. even if the questions are just simplified or a little explanation would help !

Thanks x

Hi, 1. is wanting you to look at all the reasons why childcare professionals, parents, government and children want safeguarding and welfare requirements as part of an early years framework, in this case EYFS.

Rationale comes about from understanding potential outcomes for children and families, evidence and research - EPPE, PEAL, KEEP

The EYFS review Dame Clare Tickell
on gov.uk is a supportive read for this.

2. would like you to read through the eyfs safeguarding and welfare requirements, get to know them well and examine what it might mean for a setting to actually comply with them. eg. policies, procedures for protecting children, ensuring only suitable people are employed to work closely with children DBS, keeping the setting safe from hazards and everyone's professional attitude.
