1.2 Assess a child or young persons development in the following areas:
physical
communication
interlectual/ cognitive
social, emotional and behavioural
moral

My tutor has asked me to explain these. im a little confused (again)!
Do i explain them relating to a child that i work with, or of the age that i work with?
Do i explain development of all ages within the couse (0-19 years)

I thought assess meant along the lines of relating to a key child for example and see where they are on the expected/ general lines of develpoment?

Any advice would be great, only have a few odd ends to tie up and ive finished. Thanks in advance

It is about assessing a child along the areas of development, so carrying out observations that link into them but for study purposes explaining them. Basically, showing you know that when you record these observations you know how and why you are doing so
