Hi a warm welcome to the site. These criteria relate directly to the policies and procedures your setting has in place so that you're able to provide training, advise and share information with the team so that in turn they're utterly prepared for times of disclosure, knowing exactly how to repspond eg. by using professional knowledge and ability to recognise signs and symptoms of harm and abuse, know who they're meant to share that information with and how to record it.

If it helps pages 213 of this dated level 5 handbook looks at supporting you to understand how to respond to evidence or concerns that a child or young person has been abused or harmed. Which you'd then use in your leadership role to support your team. (Search inside the amazon preview for the word 'abuse' and click the link to Unit 12, outcome 2)

RCC 5.8 Unit
details: Understand how to provide a service that addresses both the safety and the wellbeing of children and young people who have experienced harm or abuse

Being able to support team members to work with challenges relating to harm or abuse will involve:

- Reflective supervision (Search inside the newer edition for reflective supervision Have you checked with your tutpr to see if you're expected to create any training material for your team that would demonstrate your knowledge of reflective practice?

- Addressing attitudes within the setting eg: unhelpful attitudes -
  • denial that harm and abuse may occur
  • blaming the victims of harm and abuse
  • becoming desensitised to issues of harm and abuse
  • not listening to and hearing children and young people
  • being inconsistent or untrustworthy
  • not placing the child or young person’s needs first
  • failing to report suspicions at an early stage
  • failing to share information
  • failing to work in partnership with key agencies
  • being overprotective
- Ability of management team to know about and offer additional sources of support

Hoping this helps a little xx
