Default Help please. disadvantages of early years mixed age groups

Hi I was wondering if anyone could give me any disadvantages of early years mixed age groups as been trying to research it all I can find is advantages haha.

perhaps one would be that if mixed ages some children will be ahead of others and therefore get bored with activities and in return the younger children may struggle to keep up in other activities and need more support
