Default 3.7 designing services for children?

Explain the importance of designing a services around the needs of children and young people.

The focus of the every child matters is to provide a variety of services that are integrated into the local area and provides a variety of services that children and young people can reach.

Each local authority have created a children’s trust, these are to make sure that the services are working towards the ecm outcomes there are a wide variety of services most are available from my setting these are designed around the children and young people in our area the outreach is able to visit children and families who can’t make it into the centre or might need extra support which can be done in the comfort of their own homes, visiting communities and helping with other services in the building.

Collaboration between services, children, young people and adults. We work together as a children centre and nursery all our services can be access easily and work well together the setting works well with the parents of the children and some parents help with the groups we run. Integrating information from other services we can do this easily by phone e- mail or visits to the other services also those services come and work with the children in the centre most information would be on a child’s record or caf.

This means we must have flexibility in working together especial with communication and consultations showing how important it is to network with other services and have an up to date directory of services so that we have a collaboration between services, children young people and adults forming working partnerships. This allows effective management of changes especial when everything has been planned carefully by doing the above we can meet the needs of the child/young person more effectively and make positive outcome for those needing our help.

thanks T
