What is the role of play in a child's development k2d43

Hi,
Firstly think about what children are doing as they play...what are they learning?
Consider why play is the optimum learning relationship for a child.
As children explore their world, how does play present them with the all important relationships with which they acquire their basic feelings and ideas about their ever changing world?
