Hi, welcome to silkysteps. Poor practice relates to professional propriety and conduct, it involves disregarding or ignoring policies and procedures, inappropriate verbal and body language, disrespect for children, colleagues and parents.

Page 120 of the heinemann handbook explains how practitioners are expected to work in open and transparent ways, listen to children, understand power, trust and physical contact. Any behaviour that contradicts this could be considered undersirable or poor practice.
