For me personally i found Piaget and skinner pretty straight foward. The websites i got a lot of information on the above were WIKEPEDIA AND KIDS DEVELOPMENT.CO.UK. ( forgive me for the spelling)

Good luck

pick 3 or 4 who sound familiar then go and do some reading. the whole point of research is to read, find out new things things which will benefit you greatly if you want to be educated in the field. then when you have found out about 3 or 4 write about the 2 that fascinate you most. theory is the underpinning of everything we do and essential to understand why we do what we do and more than essential to progress. dont just rely on the internet and certainly not wikipedia it is unreliable and not acceptable as an academic source in good colleges.

I wasnt implying that you should use the websites that i had stated, but was mearly suggesting as a form of research, but dont rely on these sites as answers .
I would read up on all of them to be honest.
Have you got the children's care, learning and development book nvq 2 by Keith Beith, Penny Tassoni, Kath Bulman and Maria Robinson? That helped me a lot. Your local library if its a good one should have quite a few good books and that's where i got the majority of info.
Good luck

Why don't you look at weather you are interested in social constuctivism- learning with others, which would be the likes of Piaget or Vgotsky, Constuctivism - children building their own knowledge, Maturationism - natural development then if any of these take your interest you can research that particular area instead of reading about all 12. lol
hope this helps
