Default pre school parent committee

hello
i wonder if any pre schools have got rid of their vol parent committee
we are having so many problems with ours and every year it gets worse

we are run by them and the chair is the head of the school
the staff feel pre school would run better if instead of having to wait every 2 months for a pc meeting we could just go straight to her and get an answer

any advice please
