Default Frameworks and how they influence work in schools today

I have been working on this unit for a while, and my brain is just turning to mush.
I have been told that I need to
Quote:
write about at least one framework. This can either be the National Curriculum or social pedagogy. You will need to do some independent research for this. You will need to give an overview of the framework, and how it influences work in schools today.
and I'm just not sure where to start.
Please can someone point me in the right direction, I know I need to do some research, but does anyone have any good places to start looking as I seem to be going around in circles.
thanks

Hi which framework have you decided to focus on?

For the national primary curriculum this page of gov. may help https://www.gov.uk/government/public...ary-curriculum along with pages 188 of the level 3 STL handbook

Or for social pedagogy: this quote is from page 157 of the handbook

'Social pedagogy is a humanistic framework to support development. It refers to a holistic approach to the needs f the child through health, school, family and spiritual life, leisure activities and the community. Through social pedagogy the child is central through their involvement and interaction with the wider world. The framework is socially constructed and may vary between cultures, contexts and the time at which it takes place'

Hope this helps a little

Thank you for the reply, sorry it has taken a while for me to get back to it, I came straight along and ordered the book, but then..... well life took over, so I am finally sitting down (unfortunately with lego marvels playing in the backgroud!) to try and make sense of it all, determined to get this unit in before the half term is over and I am back to work
