Relevant legal requirements covering the needs of disabled children and those with special educational needs - I can think of Disability Discriminations act and Special Educational Needs and Disability Act. Can anyone tell me of any others or anything I should mention, thanks

Hi Lynn,

The other key pieces of legislation are:

United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child
Human Rights Act 1998
Data Protection Act 1998
Disability discrimination Act 1995
Protection of children Act 1999
Every Child Matters

I did this question as a professional discussion with my assessor which was great cos it saved me alot of writing lol. Hope this is okay
