I think what they are looking for is different types of bleeding would have different outcomes for the child, for example if it's capillary bleeding, you would apply pressure but it's probably not a serious injury, maybe a cut knee but if it's venous bleeding, you still apply pressure but it would be pumping and spurting because a vein is injured, obviuosly this is more dangerous than a cut knee. Internal bleeding you need to know signs and symptoms i.e. palor, heart rate etc.
