Hi Rhianna, i am in my ninth year of childminding and have always used NCMA. i just feel happier that NCMA is specifically for childminding and will cover exactly what i need. I use them for public liability, car insurance and use their contracts, medical forms and accountancy books. I have always been a member, nice to know someone is at the end of the phone if you need advice. I find them really gud value, wud not go with anyone else, hope this helps, gud luck with your childminding business,

I have been childminding for 18 years and always insured with Morton Michel.

I think you need to think about 2 different things - insurance and membership.

If you are a member of NCMA you are a member of a national association which supports childminders. You can then buy your insurance via NCMA. You must use their paperwork if you buy their insurance.

If you buy your insurance from specialist early years insurer Morton Michel you don't need to use their paperwork you can design your own.

Both companies offer a similar range of added extras free of charge.

I hope this helps you decide

Hi thankyou for your reply.

heres what I think i am going to do, for the 1st tweleve months join morton michel why it is a hell of a lot cheaper, and read good reviews on these.
what about if i purchased my contracts from ncma as I know another childminder so i could ask her to order these for me??? I like these contracts and have everything covered.
what do you think?
Thankyou
x

i would do it the other way round go with ncma until you are confident and have all your policies and procedures and paperwork in place and tested then switch if you want to
