Default 305 k3d240

has anyone else found 305 the most annoying and difficult unit for knowledge!!!

k3d240: the kinds of community resources and support that are available to support equality of access, the scope of opportunities for referral if necessary and sources of information for children and families.

i have written about sources of info for children and families but am really stuck on the first two parts of this question! can anybody kindly help?!!?!?

Help SOS 305 k3d240

I found 305 really trying, to say the least. I had to do lots of research before I started on questions.First part of this question I dipped into the Every Child Matters framework, used this as an example. Good luck.

I have been signed off on this unit, sorry to upset you all....loved it! Having real probs with 304 tho which all the ladies in my class have found the easiest! Here goes, this is what I put:

Community resources and support that are available:

1) Surestart: part of the governments drive to eradicate child poverty; Surestart aims are:
a) improve children's life opportunities by working closely with parents
b) provide better access to family support and advice on health and early learning so that the children are given the best possible start.
Surestart Services include:
a) children's centres which provide health care and education
b) Early Excellence Centres
c) Children's information services
d) Neighbourhood nurseries
e) Childcare link.

2) Local Authority Social Services Dept: take care of children in need. Abuse and neglect counted as the main reason for children receiving Social Service intervention.

3) Children Development Service: this is organised by the NHS and includes
a) specialist health visitors
b) physiotherapists
c) speech therapists
d) occupational therapists
e) psychologists
f) community consultant paediatricians
g) social workers

Other information services which could be passed on to families include
a) childline
b) local children's trust
c) local child protection committee (LSCB)
d) nspcc
e) local c.a.b.
f) refugee support agencies, local childcare information services
g) any specialist support groups for any individual needs of the children

Hope this helps you some, I'm doing 308 at the mo, only got 2 pc's to do but for some reason it's taking forever!

Hello powell, its interesting what you were saying,, is it because of the observations? I've still got 3 of them to do! Are you doing your course with a college or with an agency?

I'm glad i did level 2, but the obs were different then, now their a pain in the neck, 6 pages long the ones i have to do for college. And trying get them done in school, i end up helping the children, tried last tuesday, at the end of the day the teacher asked me how i got on, did i get started, ha ha. The thing is once we've done all 4 thats it, its such a huge assignment, then its suppose to be fairly easy. Are you at college or r u with an agency?
Have you done your obs now?
