Default Cultural and language in the context of safeguarding?

Stuck on a point I have to write about:

The child or young persons cultural and language context, I'm guessing it is about respecting children who English is a second language and children that may be non verbal. How does this relate in terms of safeguarding please?

Hi, welcome to the site. When it comes to safeguarding it's important to know a child, their family's culture and their language context so that you can communicate effectively. In your role you'll need to explain policies and procedures when necessary so that everyone remains aware and safe, be able to obtain parent's permission for different situations and also be able to listen and understand when parents and children share information with you.

Which unit is this from and has your tutor recommended a textbook to help you study?

xx
