This is all I can come up with at the mo:

The Game of Compliments

Have a laminated photo of each child's face.

Ask the children to randomly choose a photo each.

Ask each child to think of something that they like about the person in the photo, or what that person is good at to share with the rest of the group.

Write down their ideas.

Make a display using the photos with a caption "Jade likes Ben because he is kind" "Marcia thinks Darren is good at football"

This activity builds self confidence and resilience, makes children realise people like them, or that they have something that they are good at. It gives them the resilience to try and form new friendships, and try out new activities.

It boosts self esteem because their own thoughts and feelings, and other people's feelings about them are on display and this makes them feel important.

It can be a good resource for all staff to refer to and talk about with the children.
